How about a field trip?

Project #1 Due Tuesday Dec. 15
Project #2 Must be started Tuesday so have your materials and sketches ready. Project #2 due the first day back from break.
Be ready with your ideas/materials for project 3. This must be started the day you get back from break.

Artist To Inspire Artist with statement about their work Up Load Due Dec. 3
2D Drawing-Slice of Life Due Dec. 2

Find 5 examples of 1 or 2 point perspective from life. Each Drawing must be diffrent ( Not 5 drawings of a street in perspective) Sketch each example from observation using a full page in your sketchbook. Examples streets, lockers, curbs, railings, buildings, benches, ect… Look for two parallel lines. You will have to imagine where the vanishing point is.

2D Drawing Materials Needed- Kneaded Eraser,  Gum/Pink Eraser, charcoal, object for still life. (Ideas may come from the Stealing Beauty Sketchbook)
3D Materials Needed- 3 Rolls Clear Packing Tape (Depending on size you may need more)

Saturday Aug 22

For this field trip we will visit the Art Institute of Chicago, MCA, analyze and discuss a few pieces, and introduce the AP Studio class. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to attend any of our field trips. Bring your field trip form with you to the train station.  If you have lost you field trip form or never got one the are available in the main office.  Stop in Monday through Thursday to get one.  If you do not have your filled out permission slip then you will not be able to go with us.

We will be taking the train from Woodstock.

Meet up at 8:35 at the Woodstock train station. Train leaves at 8:48. ii.

We will catch the 3:45 train. Arrive back in Woodstock at 5:08. ·

You will need to have train fare ($5) and money for lunch in Chicago. We will either eat at the museum or the train station. Bring a sketch book and pencil.

I will offer 25 Point extra credit points per field trip attended this year.
